The 2012 concert will take place in Bolton Parish Church on Sunday 26th August.
The music will include:
Handel - From the censer curling rise (Solomon)
Handel - My Heart is Inditing
Britten - Choral Dances from Gloriana
Parry - I was glad
Lessons - The Song of the Queen’s Beasts
Rehearsals
The rehearsals will start on Tuesday 7th August 2012 and are every Tuesday and Thursday for three weeks, with an extra rehearsal with the orchestra on the final Friday.
Singing Day
There will be a singing day for choir and friends on Saturday 28th April, 9.30 to 5 at St. John’s Methodist Church, Horwich
Music for the singing day will include Mozart's Coronation Mass and Mendelssohn's Four Sacred Part Songs, plus other pieces.
The cost is £15 and includes morning coffee and afternoon tea. The church will provide soup and sandwiches, tea and cake at lunchtime, for a small extra charge.
